COVID-19 Business Continuity – 12th August

I’m here with the COVID-19 continuity update for Australian businesses on 12th August, 2020.

As we’ve seen with the rapid response to shift Auckland, NZ to stage 3 restrictions, developments are happening quickly, and a seemingly safe zone can change with little forewarning. This is why it is important in these times to be preparing for different eventualities so that your business isn’t caught out, wherever in Australia your business operates.

Victorian business owners are certainly under pressure to keep up to date with the continually unfolding changes to what is and isn’t allowed under Stage 4 restrictions.

My team of business coaches and I are regularly monitoring a range of sources to ensure that we can help you stay on top of changes to the Victorian restrictions that impact the operations of your business.

In today’s update:
1. Victorian Stage 4 restrictions: Councils, universities and federal government
2. Victorian Stage 4 restrictions: Clarification on carpooling
3. Victorian Stage 4 restrictions: Working outside Melbourne metro

(The following advice was sourced from: https://www.business.vic.gov.au/disputes-disasters-and-succession-planning/covid-safe-business/construction-sector-guidance#Frequently%20asked%20questions)

1. Victorian Stage 4 restrictions: Councils, universities and federal government

I know that many Tenfold clients in the construction sector do work for councils, universities and federal government projects. There has been clarification on whether those types of projects are exempt from the Victorian Stage 4 restrictions:

2. Victorian Stage 4 restrictions: Clarification on carpooling

Carpooling is another issue that is relevant to many businesses. This advice was sourced from the construction sector guidelines but we believe is applicable across all sectors given the high risk of transmission in enclosed spaces such as cars.

3. Victorian Stage 4 restrictions: Working outside Melbourne metro

For Victorian businesses in the construction sector that have work outside Melbourne metro, this clarification will be relevant to you:

The Tenfold business coaches and myself welcome your questions so please continue to reach out and use us as your resource. If you are unsure about an aspect of the restrictions, it’s likely that we’ve answered it for one of our other clients.
