I’m here with an update on the Victorian circuit breaker lockdown on 2nd June 2021.
As you would know by now, the Victorian circuit breaker lockdown has been extended for at least another 7 days. While this was somewhat expected, the additional 7 days of restrictions will mean we may need to implement some of the changes we’ve been speaking about.
In good news for some Victorian businesses, some sectors have been added to the list. I’ve attached the list here.
The following business types are now able to operate:
- Outdoor maintenance, repairs, cleaning and other building work, including at occupied premises.
- Home renovations and installations (outdoor only)
- Home solar panel installations (only for outdoor work or in roof cavities with external access).
- Landscaping and gardening sole operators, undertaking outdoor work only where physical distancing can be maintained at all times.
Up to five people (plus a supervisor) are permitted on each site.
While these additions are good, if you have an edge case or it’s not black and while for a circumstance, talk to your coach and we’ll help you navigate it.
Financial support for Victorian businesses in lockdown – still restricted
The Victorian government has also increased the amount of funding available to businesses in the targeted groups (e.g. Hospitality, events and entertainment, licensed venues), but the support has not been extended to other sectors.
