I’m here with insights for Australian businesses on 18th June 2021. The contents of this briefing will primarily be for the advice of Victorian business owners and Tenfold clients.
More staff returning to your workplace
With the further easing of Victorian restrictions, from today you are now allowed to have even more of your staff return to the office. You can have up to 20 staff if your total workplace is 40 or less (or 50% capacity if you have a larger office workforce).
Jobs Victoria grants – $20,000 and $10,000
Some Tenfold clients have already worked with their coach to access the Vic government grants of $20,000 and $10,000 for certain new hires. There are several critical criteria, making it a complex grant.
I strongly encourage you to discuss with your coach anyone you have recruited or moved to a permanent position from 15th March this year.
Just earlier today one of our business coaches advised a client who thought their employee wasn’t eligible work out that they do in fact meet the criteria. They will now receive $20,000 over the next 12 months towards that employee’s wages.
I know many Victorian business owners and your staff members are keen to have a holiday from Victoria (and it’s not even officially winter yet!)
I note that Qld stopped listing regional Victoria as a hotspot on 11th June. Our understanding is that Tenfold clients in regional Vic are allowed to enter Qld without quarantining, 14 days after the region ceased to be listed as a hotspot.
I’ve been speaking with the Tenfold business coaches and our understanding is that Queensland will drop their COVID hotspot listing in another 7 days and then Greater Melbourne Tenfold clients will have to wait another 14 days before they can travel to Queensland without quarantining, approx. 3 weeks from now.
If you had holiday plans that were interrupted by the lockdown, or you have been inspired to escape while you can, you may be able to travel to other states soon.
For a run down on the current state travel permissions for Victorians trying to enter Queensland for holidays, see: https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au/government-actions/border-closing
Coaching sessions can resume in Tenfold’s offices
If you and your business coach have plans for in-person coaching, you can now return to Tenfold’s offices for your sessions. We look forward to welcoming you back.
Have a great weekend.
